a path in religion

i had a really good time today.

although i'm convinced guitar guy really is going out with keyboard girl, but what can you do. i suppose he's like 15 anyway so i can't really marry him.

but it was pretty cool at the alpha course thing. i spoke to the preacher guy and he was saying about when he was dealing drugs as a kid and then he found christ when he was like 18 and his dad abused his mum and because christ forgave him, he found it in his heart to forgive him too. which kind of made me feel a lot better about my own dad. i hope once i've got over all the anger i've got for him then i can find it in my own heart to forgive him and move on.

i'm really looking forward to learning more about christianity and hopefully finding christ myself. i think it'll help me with a lot of my confusion about why i'm here and what's my purpose etc. also, i'd like to understand how to be a better person.

i know a lot of people believe religion is dumb and obviously untrue but it's there, and you can't ignore the fact that it really is there. so before people say it's rubbish they should take the time to learn about it in a positive light and then they can decide what they believe. which is why i'm glad i have an open mind.

and people say about conflict in the world and rape and murder which proves there is no god otherwise it just wouldn't happen. little do they know that most christians when even their own family is involved in something so horrid it actually strengthens their belief in god.

it sounds a bit lame but when i wake up and i go outside in my garden i look at the sky and i think to myself that there must be something greater who made this all exist.
